IRMAA brackets 2027: not announced yet — here's your move
Search "IRMAA brackets 2027" today and you'll find confident-looking tables. As of October 2026, CMS has not published the 2027 Medicare premium tables — no 2027 Parts A & B fact sheet exists. Every exact 2027 number on the internet right now is a projection wearing a table's clothes.
What's known
- CMS released preliminary 2027 Part D technical figures in July 2026 (a national average bid amount) — useful to actuaries, not a premium table.
- The full 2026 tables were released November 14, 2025; the 2025 tables on November 8, 2024. Mid-November is CMS's pattern.
- 2027 premiums, when set, will be priced off 2025 MAGI — the return most of this audience filed in early 2026.
What to do while you wait
- Run your numbers against the 2026 table. Thresholds are inflation-adjusted and usually move modestly; your tier under the 2026 brackets is the honest planning estimate. The full 2026 table and the checker are live.
- If you had a 2025 life-changing event (retirement, divorce, a spouse's death), your SSA-44 groundwork — event proof, income estimate — is identical whatever the final thresholds are. Prepare the packet now; file when your notice arrives.
- Watch the income you control in late 2026. Year-end moves (conversion sizing, capital-gain timing) set the return that prices 2028 — the two-year echo never stops.
When CMS publishes the 2027 tables, this page and the checker update to the official figures — sourced to the fact sheet, like everything else here.
